Yesterday arrived the mail from France with reports from Archangel Genoa Leghorn and Vienna. The text notes naval builds in Russia and Corsica, punitive executions in Italy, imperial measures against plague, and various obituaries and local races and trades. It also records British races, merchant losses, and stock prices with scattered updates from Saffron Walden and London.
Nathaniel Ogle of Dirkley Northumberland died last Saturday. He served as a Justice of the Peace for the county and was renowned for integrity and charity. An eminent physician abroad during the late war, he contributed to local life through his neighborly conduct and benevolence.

From the Paris letter dated July 4 we learn several Men of War continue fitting out in Naples. Provisions prices are not as high as before. Tours reports the Chapter of St Martin forgiving farmers’ rents for the current year to cushion losses. Leghorn advices align with Paris about Bologna’s submission to the French and hostages given.
A large consignment of mercery goods including textiles such as Persians, sarfets, damasks, velvets, lutestrings, and camblets is offered for sale by order of creditors. Goods will be sold at Mr Bell's Grand Sale Warehouse Aldermary Churchyard Bow Lane Cheapside from this morning until sale time. broker John Bell announces.
