Election Disorder at Sutherland Freeholders Meeting

Last Whitsun Election Murder in Hereford

Edward Knight a journeyman clothworker and his son William killed Richard Pincher after a dispute over politics. Pincher died the evening of the sixth instant. Coroner’s inquest returned verdict of willful murder against both men, who are jailed to await the next assizes.

Bank of England cash theft notice for John Waite

WAHEREAS John Waite a former Cafier of the Bank of England, about forty years old and five feet eight inches, with a freckled visage and light eyes, left his duties May 13 and is suspected of concealing East India Bonds of considerable value.
