Irish Tradesmen Pursue Drunken Robbers After Night Out
In Ireland on Tuesday morning around four, three tradesmen on the road by Donybrook seized a concealed man and, after questioning, learned he and three companions had robbed a gentleman’s servant and drank his wine. They chased and captured the others, who confessed similar thefts aided by drink. The servant was found mildly beaten beside his cart with wine and provisions. two shillings were missing. The rogues were brought to town and committed to Newgate after examination.
