Translation of Saint Ferdinand body to new royal shrine in Seville
The King contributed to the shrine project for the body of Saint Ferdinand. The translation ceremony began at noon and featured royal processions, salutes, illuminations, and a Te Deum. The body rested in the Great Chapel for three days before being returned to the original chapel, drawing vast public attendance. Cardinal Borgia and the Archbishop of Segovia attended incognito. The event included a second, larger procession with fraternities, courts, and trades corporations.
