An elderly man near sixty, treated by apothecary John Moore in Laurence Pountney Lane, reports relief from severe leg pains after using Moore’s Ancilorbutick Pills and Spirits. Moore touts two anti scorbutic medicines, claiming they purge scurvy symptoms, restore vigor, and improve blood and nerves, listing a range of circulatory and skin symptoms associated with scurvy.
Last Wednesday Lord Viscount Torrington arrived from Hertfordshire and went to Hampton Court to wait on the King. Governors of St Bartholomew’s held their annual feast at Haberdashers Hall.
