Port News Arrival Notices from Cadiz to Lisbon

Plans for the Mansion House Exhibit at Guildhall

A notice dated July 19 1737 states that several plans prepared by order of the Committee of Common Council for the new mansion house lie at the Town Clerk's Office in Guildhall for viewing by any member of the Court of Common Council between now and the next meeting.

City Lands Lease Notice For Blask-Friars Area

The E Committee for Letting the City's Lands intends to lease a large messuage or tenement with a timber-yard coach-house and stables near Blask-Friars Stairs now held by Mrs Hodgkinson or under tenants formerly by Dr Salmon. They will meet in the Guildhall Council Chamber London on Wednesday 27 July at four o'clock to receive proposals with further information from the Comptroller's Office.
