Inflammations Claim Francis Lewis Ely Clerk of the Crown

Ireland Dublin July 9 Thursday Evening Francis Lewis Ely Clerk of the Crown and Peace for Ulster died at his lodgings Castle Yard after an inflammation of the lungs. On Wednesday Jaft died at his House Lower Ormon Quay in a very advanced age Timothy Forbes eminent Dublin merchant. Last Saturday William Westby Ef y married Miss Jones daughter of Brigadier Jones with 5000 fortune. Gyles Nesbit Ef y married widow Baker sister to Sir Robert Echlin Bart. On the 29th pat died en route to Monaghan John Murray Ely Knight of the Shire County of Monaghan.

Notable Losses In Bristol City Church And Civic Life

In Bristol City two sudden deaths are reported. Alderman Beecher, senior city official, died after a lingering illness at his seat near Stapleton. On Monday night the Rev Mr Weston, son of the late Paul Weston, a merchant and grocer, died in St Nicholas Church after a fit of apoplexy during sermon delivery. He was carried to the Vestry and bled, with hopes of recovery fading in coming days. Weston was respected by parishioners of St Peter’s where he served as curate. Earlier, John Partington, about 19, the private sentinel mentioned previously, was shot.
