Gloucester Stage Coach Robbed on the Downs

Report from Gloucester dated July 7 notes two highwaymen halted a stage coach between Nordleach and Frog-Mill at about four in the afternoon. They robbed two gentlemen of about 20 pounds and a silver watch near the same place. One thief described as thin wore a goat and rode a bay horse. the other stout carried a large bundle behind and rode a sorrel horse. The item ends by stating many volunteers enlist in the sea service, implying no impress is needed.
