London Revenue and Officials Change in 1743 1744

London notices report Excise revenue for the year ending Midsummer 1744 at 193,754,072 pounds, 300,000 more than the prior year. Lords of the Treasury appoint Leonard Ellison as Customs Collector for the Port of Fool. Deaths include Lord Fane of Berkshire, to be succeeded by Hon. Charles Fane. Mrs Phill Relist of Mr Phill, Jare. and John Merchant, a noted Wapping cornfattor. A brigantine from Brittel to Galway is captured by a French Privateer.
