Mail from France reports Spanish troop sails to Spain

From Paris and Leghorn letters dated in early May describe Spanish forces embarked and set to sail on the fifth. Exchange of cession and guarantee completed at Pontremoli on the third between imperial officers and the King of Spain. Swiss regiment moved from Porto Ferrara with cannons to Piombino garrison. Duke de Montemar arrived at Genoa from Specie aboard a republic galley, was greeted by thirty guns, hosted by the Spanish envoy, then left for Antibes to continue toward Languedoc and Spain.

Port News Update from Down Coast and Europe Voyages

The Lilly Townsend remain in the Downs en route to Oporto, with the Eleanor Pallester bound for Lisbon and the Read headed to Leghorn. The Tower Wingfield arrived from Leghorn and the Slayton from Falmouth. Winds are north northwesterly.
