General Meeting of South Sea Stock Proprietors Fails

In January 1735 a general meeting drew few proprietors. Alderman Heathcoate chaired. Francis Wilks nominated for Deputy Governor. A nine member committee was formed to nominate directors with five needed for quorum and three days’ notice required for the reports to proprietors.
