On Saturday the 12th between six and seven at night two men on Lincoln's Inn Fields were attacked by three unknowns who blamed the victim for a satire. The assaulted man denies authorship and invites a meeting to settle the matter or will offer satisfaction to any one of the assailants as directed by friends.
A 1939 notice by Fletcher Gyles solicits subscriptions to a selected edition of John Thurloe’s State Papers from 1638 to the Restoration.
