South Sea Stock Proprietors Convene in Cornhill 1735

At Fleece Tavern Cornhill on August 8 1735 a large meeting of South Sea Stock proprietors was held with Alderman Heathcoate presiding. Nomination for Sub Governor Peter Burrell and Deputy Governor Francis Wilks was approved, a nine member committee named including Burrell Wilks Lombe Heathcoate, five to form a quorum, and warrants issued for three days notice prior to its meetings.
