Yesterday Co Blakeney arrived from the West Indies and was graciously received by the King. Last Saturday Charles Eggleton married Miss Kent of Ipswich. the Kent family member is a Parliamentarian. The Admiralty appointed Mr Avis to be Master Baker to the Navy. Died last Sunday near Bishopsgate, Mr Woods, a salesman worth 10,000. Yesterday Mr Lamb, a partner with Mr Marlow, a goldsmith near Aldgate, died. Plymouth letters dated Jan 28 report Hampshire arrived from a cruise, bringing Turtle Dove and Betty loaded with wool and woollen goods from Cork. The Pretty Betsey, from London to Jamaica, captured by Spaniards and carried to Cherbourg. Money and books sent to Portsmouth to pay men turned over from Lancaster, Princess Louisa, Discovery Pink and Furness Bomb to Monmouth. This evening at Drury Lane Theatre, Kine Lazaroo performs. Covent Garden presents Measure for Measure with Perseus and Andromeda. High water London Bridge at 4:28 PM. South Sea stock and annuities quoted. Bank circulation noted at 41 2s 6d. Indiana Pride and Anguides prices listed.
