Empress Catherine's Rescript on Botta Affair Sparked Vienna Clash

Nov 29 in St Petersburg reports the Empress of Russia dispatching a circular Rescript to Minister Lanzinsky at Vienna concerning the Marquess of Botta affair. It denounces Vienna's handling, promises further proof, and orders publication to refute Vienna's conduct while reaffirming imperial favor. The notice also lists local London items and stock prices from the previous day.

Married in Winchester as Swan weds Bowles of the Place

London report notes the Windsor wedding of Mr Swan, a Deptford coal merchant, to Miss Fanny Bowles, heiress with fortune of 8900 J. The same day the corpse of Sir John Jennings, knight, was moved from Green-Weich Hospital to be interred at Westminster Abbey. Also reported is the death of Mr Clayton, longtime landlord of the Boar's Head in Fleet Street, who had recently retired after securing a handsome fortune.
