French Prize Taken by St. Kitts Sloop near Jamaica
Boston reports a sloop of eight guns and forty hands from St Kitts chased a large ship, a French vessel of about tons and 140 men, which fired on the sloop. The French ship surrendered after heavy maneuvering and was carried to Jamaica as a prize laden with wine oil.
