From Wassaw dated August 17 reports Veldt-Marshal Count Lacy has laid siege to Kaffa the principal port and strongest place in the Crimea with a strong Turkish garrison. Vienna letters note the Grand Duke of Tuscany and Duke of Lorraine sent a silk gift to the Asch Dutchers and that Col Lentulus took Novi Pasiera on the 5th instant. The 4th saw a skirmish between Imperialists and Turks leaving one Turk flag, and Lentulus assembled 4000 Baftians to cooperate with Imperialists while two Caffovia deputies asked to join the Emperor’s rule.
