Journal fragment on Empress, ministries, and Polish affairs in 1730s
The lettered report from Moscow August 3 describes the Empress consulting ministers, plans to tax Boyars, a gift from the King of Prussia, dispatches from Duke Charles Leopold of Mecklenburg, and a Privy Council meeting. It notes Muscovite troops ready for Hungary, canal or dyke repairs near the Neva, harvests in Poland, and preparations for Diets in Grodno with Lutheran and Reformed church leaders voicing grievances.
