Treaty News From Europe and Asia Minor Dispatches
Yesterday arrived the Mail from Holland reporting possible treaties between the King of Spain and the Porte on the same terms as with the Ottoman Empire. The Tripoli peace is signed and exchanges of ravifications completed. Difficulties persist with the Algerines though the Grand Signor urges peace with the Two Sicilies. Corsican regiments to be raised, Venice cites disturbances in Constantinople, and Turkish protocol faces repeated delays. In Vienna, embassies struggle with protocol and ceremonial entry, while a Swedes camp entry is set for the 25th. In Somerset, 13 men are condemned to death for treason and robbery. several are reprieved. Esther Parry is acquitted for lack of evidence.
