Royal Christening to Bring Royal Family to St James Chapel
London reports that next Monday the Queen, King and rest of the Royal Family will travel from Hampt on Court to St James's to attend the christening in the Royal Capel. News arrives from the East India House that Purser Capt James Montgomery returned from Bombay with word of the Defence ship’s safe Downs arrival the night prior. The Shaftsbury under Capt Bookey reached St Helena June 17 and Harrington under Capt Jenkins left Bengall and Madrass about a month ago, all well and expected at St Helena daily. Mr Daws of Gray's Inn Lane is appointed bricklayer to Christ's Hospital replacing the deceased Mr Roberts.
