Stranger from Holland lands with rebels in Corsica

A mail from Holland arrives with a Tunisian voyage pass. A man calling himself Lord Theodore lands at Aleria with a large entourage, arms, ships, and gold. Rebels hail him as high as Excellency and appoint commanders, while plans unfold to seize Cafincha. Aleria houses heavy guard and 400 soldiers, with 7,000 sacks of corn aboard. The incident sparks widespread conjecture about his true identity and purpose.
