Theft at Cheese in Wine-Office-Court Fleet Street

A man spent eight years in hiding at the Cheese in Wine Office Court Fleet Street and yesterday morning entered the room of Mr. Holyoake, stole a small box containing 200 and notes valued at 600, and was captured in a chimney while the box was found wrapped in a handkerchief. He was taken to Newgate. The city reports Pleasure, theatre notices, and trade imports and exports from the prior week including Mohair Yarn and Indigo. The Prince and Princess of Wales attended the Haymarket Royal Theatre to see the Historical Register and Eurydice Hire'd to applause.
