Walter Lockhart of Kirktoun Dies at 87 in Scotland

Scotland Edinburgh March 31. Capt Walter Lockhart of Kirktoun dies at his country seat aged 87. A gentleman of known integrity who early offered steadfast adherence to religion and throughout life remained attached to virtue and the liberty of his country. Also notes Jak died in Inverness aged about 80 on Saturday.

Executions at Oxford Castle Milly Gray and John Gale

Oxford Castle on March 28 executed Milly Gray for stealing three horses from Richard Castle of Oxford and John Gale for assaulting and robbing hat-maker Charles Cripps of Charlbury. Gale confessed falsely, maintained innocence, and received Christian rites. Gray confessed before execution. Gloucester note reports storm sinks boats Bewasey and Newnham. Clara’s boat owned in the city was lost on Thursday night.

Mourning Orders and Military Appointments in London
