Death of John Law former Controller General of Finances of France
Mail from Holland Venice reports the death of John Law aged 61 after a long illness. He died in the arms of Jesuit Drighi and received all sacraments. His body was carried to the Church of St Geminiano for a solemn interment the following day. The dispatches also cover plague fears in Constantinople and Hungary, troop movements after Easter, and various maritime notices.
