Machine with which they pretend to cleanfe the Canal, without being obliged to drain off the Water, as hitherto. The Duke de Noailles, Gov^nor of Verfailles, has order'd Ground to be mark'd out in the Parc-aux-Cerfs, for building a Houfe for Ladies of Pleaiure, who will be obiiged to work there as long a* they Jive. The Count de Rottembourg will fet put this Week, on his Embaffy to Spain. The Duke de St. Aignan will itkewife fet out in a little while, on his Embafly to Rome j and Orders are actually fent to MarfeiiJes, to "keep two Gallies iaileadinefs there; and the Cardinal de Polignac will come to Marfeilles in thofe Gallies. * As the Venetian Ambaflador cannot get his Equipage ready againft the 12th Inftanr, his Excellency has again put off bis Publick Entry till the 3d of December; and the Abbot Land will not make his till March next.
