TWO Days ago, the Czarina's Coronation was perform'd wicb a grear deal of Solemnity, in our Cathedral Church : Yclterday her fczarhn Majefty receiv'd the Compliments of the Foreign Minifter*, and of the principal Lords and Ladies of che Court; and Orders are lent to all the Rmfian Mimfters redding abroad, to make magnificent Feafts upon that Occafion. Baron Ofterman, Vice-Chancei-lor, has been raifed by the Czarina 10 the Dignity of a Ctfunr; and her Czarian Majefty has made him a Prefent of a confidera-ble Eftate in Livonia. The Princefs de Gal-liczin is appoinred Great Miftrefs of the Czarina's Houfliold; and the Countefs of Overman, the Princefs Zerkaski, and the Ladies |agozinski and Tzermfoff are nominated La-die * of Honour to her Czarian Majefty. The Count de Lewehwolde, Greac Marlhal of the Court, having been prefenced by the King of PfUtiia with the Order of the Black Eagle, the Czarina did him the Honour to put on him the Collar ofihat Order herfelf. Petersburg, May 14. N. S. On Tuefday l^JJUtreat Rejoycings were made here, upon Occafion of the Czarina's Coronation, which was folemnized the fame Day at Mofcow. In the Morning, afcer Divine Service, we made a general Difcharge of 100 Pieces of Cannon of the Fortrefs and Admiralty. The Garrifon were at the fame time ranged in Parade, and fired three Volleys of their froail Arms: Atid in the Evening, the Genera! Count dc Munich gave a- magnificent Repaft ; at which there were 5 Tables of 100 Covers each. After Supper, a curious Firework was play'd off, reprefenting, among other things, the Czarina fitting upon a Throne, with her Imperial Habits and other Ornaments. Over her Head appear'd d. "Hand ifTuing out of the Clouds, and holding an Imperial Crown. On her Side was a Cornucopia, pouring out Crowns, Scepters, Garlands, Medals, and feveral forts of Fruit, all which fell at her Czirian Majefty's Feet. There appear'd likewife the Czarina's Name in a Cypher, encompafs'd with Laurel-Branches and Palm, the Arms of the Empire, and fix Statues, reprefenting Faith, Love, Juftice, and the Gods Mars, Neptune, and Mercury, with fuicable Devices, and furrounded with a great Number of illuminated Pyramids and Arches, which burnt all Night. Admiral Sievers had placed feveral Vachts upon the River, which were adorn *d with a vaft Number of Streamers, and magnificently illuminated. The Feaft was concluded with a Ball, which lafted till the next Morning. Vienna, May 14. N. S. Two Days ago, the Emperor took a Turn to Halbturn in Hungary, to fee his Studs, and return'd to Laxcmburg in the Evening. The next Day, his Imperial Majefty held a Council of Scare, and in the Afternoon he gave Audience to feveral Perfons. The Prince of Hohenzollern and Prince Alexander of Wirtemberg are arrived here; but the latter is to go to his Government of Belgrade, after he has aflxfted at a great Council of War, which is to be held very foon at Laxemburg. The Court has lately received another ExpfeTs from the Count de Kufftein, with Difpatches concerning bis Negotiations at the Courts of feveral Princes of the Empire, which, we are amir-ed, have been attended with all the Succefs that could be expe&ed. A Courier is like-wife arrived from Rome, with News from the Conclave : 'Tis laid that fome foreign Cardinals have declared, that if the Sacred College do not agree upon the Election of a Pope within a limited time, they will leave the Sacred College, and return home : But this is very improbable. The Eaftern Company eftablifli'd here have received Advices, that one of their Ships, laden with Sijgar and Snuff from Lisbon, was arrived at Melazzo in Sicily, on her way to Fiume. They write from Mofcow, that they waited only the Return of an Exprefs from this Court, to fend Orders to the 30000 Auxiliaries deligned for the Emperor, to begin their March. On Whitfunday the Duke du Maine dtftri. buted the Holy Bread at the Parifh Church of Fontainebleau. As did the Count de Touloufe on Sunday laft. On the 30th pad, afcer the Queen's Mafs, the Mufick of the King's Chappel let out from Fontainebleau, and will not return to Verfailles till Corpus Cbrijli Hve. Laft Week all the Councils and Officers return'd from Fomainbleau, and will go this Week to Verfailles. Yefterday the King fet out from Fontainebleau, dined at Petitbourg, and arrived in the Evening at Verfailles. *Tis faid, that after his Majefty has been at Compiegne, he will go again in Autumn to Foruajnebleau. The Deputies of the General Affembly of the Clergy will go this Week to pay their Refpedh to the King, where they will be entertained at Dinner by the Cardinal de Fleury. The Count de Maurepas is likewife to treat them one Day this Week. The King has given the Government of the Hotel dei Invalids to the Chevalier de Ganges, who was his Majefty's Lieutenant there. The Affair of M. Beer. Governor to the Duke de Betbune's Children, appears to be of fo heinous a Nature, and of fo great Con; fequence, that the King has refufed to par2 don bim, and he is removed from the Baftile to the Chateier, to be tried there.
