SINGE Cardinal Bencivoglio's putting the Negative upon Cardinal imperiali, every thing feeros to confpire to. the Election of Cardinal Marefofchi, who has a confiderable Party, and againft whom/ we are told, the Crowns have no Exception. Me4n while we do not expedr. the Ele&ion will be over, befqr'e the Arrival of all the Foreign Cardinals. On Friday Signor Ali-berti, Governor of the Conclave, difpatched an Exprefs to Leghorn, by Order of the Cardinals Chiefs; the OcctGon nor certainly known, tho* 'tis faid he is to inform hirhlelf, whether they hear any thing there of the Departure of the Potrugueze Cardinals. The fame Day, Cardinal Bentivoglio and the, Marquis de Monteleone fent an Exprefs to Spain, to acquaint the Court with the Step bis Eminency bad taken in relation to the Choice of Cardinal Imperiali. On Sunday Cardinal SinzendorfF arrived here from Vienna ; and the next Day Cardinal Cofcia came to Town from Cifterna, accompan ied by the Prince of Caferta, and guarded by a Detachment of 2* Soldiers: His Eminency was fet down at the Convent della Tranfportina, where be was complimented upon his (afe Return, on the part of Cardinals Barberini and Albani, and by the other Cardinals of the Conclave : The Great Conftable and molt of the Nobility went like^ife to pay their Refpe&s to his Eminency ; and 'tis not doubt-td but all his Effects, which were carry'd to the Caftle of St. Angelo, will be reftored to him, except his Papers^ for Which, however, he is more clamorous than for any thing elfe. On Wednefday the Cardinal de Bifly arriv'd here from France j and Yefterday bis Emi. neocy and Cardinal Sinzendor^" went into the Conclave j as Cardinal Buoncompagno had done the Day before. We fee here the Copy of a Memorial that has been prefented to the facred College by the Clergy and People of Bonevento, fetting forth the great Diforders that have been introduced into that Diocefe, and praying the faid College to remedy the fame by another Form of Government, they not being able to live (as they exprefs it) under that of their Archbifliop, and much lefs under that of Signior Cofcia, bis Vicar-Generai: But we hear that Cardinal , Cofcia, Archbifliop of Benevento, has forbid them to receive any Orders but his own, upon pain of Excommunication. Be-rtngs, an Officer in the Sea-Service, return'd hither the 28th paft from Kamtfcharka,whither he was fent by the Czarina Katherine, pur-fuant to the Orders of the Czar Peter f. to examine the Frontiers of that Country, which ftretch towards the North Eaft, and to endeavour to difcover, whether, as fome imagine, they are join'd to the North Pare of America, or whether any Paffage may be made that way by Sea. That Captain fet out the 5th of February 1725, with feveral other Officers,, Engineers^ Seamen and Soldiers ; and arriving at Ochotskoi, upon the otmoft Confines of Siberia, he built there, in the Spring of the Year 1727, a VefTel, in which he crofs'd the Sea of Penfinski, and .got fafe to Kamtfchatka.: The next; Spririg (1718) he built upon the River Kamtfchatka another Veflel, with which he fteer'd towards the North-Eaft, according to his Orders, and Went as far as 6j Degrees: 19 Minutes of the \Jiii una.. A great nurabet of Imperial Recruits from Hungary, Sile�-fin, and other Countries, are coming dowd to the Auftrian Netherlands, where they ex>' peel: a confiderable Reinforcement of Impe* rialifts, befides the Auxiliaries of a certain Prince of the Empire.
