Notice announces sale of lands for arrears of taxes under the Arrears of Taxes Act. Secretary Treasurer will sell the lands in the Town Hall at Cut Knife on Monday, November 1, 1915, at 1 o’clock a.m. if taxes remain unpaid.
A fragmented note discusses establishing a hospital in the district. It notes potential backing from Cet Knife and Billadale authorities if plans proceed, citing local financial need and the broad support among residents and branch members. The Homemakers cut knife work last spring has greatly benefited the community and will aid soldiers at the front. The Secretary received letters of appreciation from relief societies. The Indies excelled in culinary arts as a dance followed and drew a small morning crowd. A large number paid at the door, 220 to cover expenses, with the remaining 220 split between the Red Cross Society and the Victorian Order of Nurses. Homewakers thank contributors and helpers.
