Head Offices to Be Here Canada Collieries Move
On November 1 the head office of the Canadian Collieries Dunsmuir Ltd moves from Victoria to Cumberland. The Victoria building undergoes extensive interior remodeling including a widened main corridor and new hallway near the railway. The superintendent’s office moves to the front with plate glass, while upstairs spaces house purchasing and engineering. Freight and passenger facilities stay, and the building will be fully electrified via the Puntledge hydro plant.
