Baron Byng of Vimy Governor General of Canada will farewell Victoria on May 17 before returning to England. He and Lady Byng plan over two weeks on Vancouver Island at Up-Island spots then two days in Victoria. They arrive April 27 with staff, ferry their car, visit Cumberland for 3 to 4 days with Lieut Colonel Villiers, then Quallcum Beach May 1 to May 9, linger between May 9 and May 15, return to Victoria May 15 and head to Vancouver for two days.

Hospital and City Agree on 1926 Payment Plan
The Cumberland Hospital and city officials reached an agreement under the Hospitals Act amendments for 1926. The hospital will accept 600 dollars from the city instead of the prior seventy cents per patient day. The council approved a 25 dollar donation to the Salvation Army Rescue Home in Vancouver. Funds will be spent on Fourth Street and Dunsmuir Avenue with cement used to repair holes if the experiment succeeds.
