The Conservative Associations of the South Comox Electoral District with Cumberland met in Union Bay to nominate their candidate for the forthcoming elections. Mr D R MacDonald chaired, and delegates unanimously endorsed M Manson as the Conservative choice. The Liberal convention in Courtenay nominated P P Harrison and Hugh Stewart, with Stewart winning 56 to 27 on a secret ballot.
