Trunk Mining Trails Being Given Attention
Immediate construction has been ordered by the Honourable W A McKenzie Minister of Mines on a trunk trail extending Elk River Kennedy River Vancouver Island from Kennedy Lake head across Taylor River to Sproat Lake head. Cost estimated at 2500 dollars. Survey and construction will be simultaneous and done by prospectors connected with the district to improve access. Mineralization along Elk and Taylor Rivers suggests a promising belt and warrants prospecting. More trunk trails are being located from Neziadin Lake into the Portland Canal district and from the Hope Princeton Road over the Coquihalla Mountains toward the Fraser High, details continued on page three.
