The closing exercises of the Minto School were held on June 28. Mr. Thos. Pearse chaired and delivered a brief address. Certificates were awarded by Campbell Morgan with a display of physical drill and class performances.

Elaborate preparations are under way for the Canadian Collieries Employees Picnic to be held at Royston Beach on Saturday July 20. Committees under Mr. A S Hamilton of Union Bay oversee plans to ensure a day of comfort and pleasure for employees mothers and children.
