Italians Fined For Assault Upon Chief of Police

A large crowd gathered at the Magistrate's Court to hear cases against Italians for street disorder and aggravated assault on a constable. John Cadello pleaded guilty for swearing and was fined $10. Cavalerio and Richo were found guilty of assaulting Constable McLellan during his duties and were fined $60 each or four months in prison.
