One Year In Okhalla For Edward Cossar
Edward Cossar a Cumberland youth aged 21 was tried after a preliminary hearing before Magistrate John Conway. He broke into the West Cumberland home of Jack Gillespie in the early hours of Sunday November 28 obtained entry through a rear window and stole articles. He was remanded for the hearing and later found guilty and sentenced to one year in Okhalla.

Sixty Farmsteads Planned For Oyster River District

Local Bird Fanciers Win Cups at Seattle Canary Show
James Bond and his father Frank Bond exhibited eight canaries at the Seattle Roller Canary Club show. Despite entries from Manitoba and other points south of Seattle, the Bonds won one first, two seconds, one third, one fourth and a special prize, lifting the cup as the only outside exhibitors to place. Essex of Seattle narrowly beat the local pair by one point in young birds. The Bond team reported perfect arrangements and smooth housing and feeding during the four day session.
