It cites CN Rail president Sir Henry Thornton pushing oil only for Vancouver hotels, a large Port Mann oil tank, and a shift of CN engines from coal to oil, contrasting with Canadian Pacific Railway. The writer demands action, noting mine closures, part time mining, and calls for continued pulverized coal experiments rather than more surveys.
