Mrs. Tom Lewis wife of baritone Tom Lewis of the Nanaimo Welsh Quartette died in Ladysmith Hospital after a serious operation. She came to Vancouver Island in 1912 and lived in Cumberland and Nanaimo. Funeral this Friday with Cumberland Welsh Society members traveling from Cumberland to attend.

Andrew Robertson aged 48 years died Sunday at Cumberland General Hospital after a long illness. He resided in Cumberland for ten years and leaves a wife, four daughters Sara, Mrs. H. Medland of Ladysmith BC, Mrs. Geo. Lund of Seattle WA, Gertrude of Victoria, and Lester of Duncan, plus his mother, father, a sister Mrs. Jean Hatfield, Cumberland, two brothers Dave of Cumberland and Alex of Ladysmith. Funeral was Tuesday at 6 p.m. from the family home to the local cemetery. Rev. J. R. Hewitt officiated. Pallbearers included Robert Yates, Sam Williams, Wm. Massey, John Smith, Frank Crawford, James Ellis. Floral tributes came from numerous family and friends.
