Cane set 10 a.m. Tuesday. Sept. 12, as date for a preliminary hearing. The judge ordered him held in custody without bond until then.Derber. who has crew-cut hair, appeared before the judge in a gray short-sleeved sport shirt, tan trousers and black loafers. He was not required to say anything. . Scouts Hunt Gun jsWhile the brief proceedings}11 were under way, over 50 Boy Scouts, directed by Oshkosh police, searched along County Trunk A between Payne's Point and Adella Beach where Derber told them he threw the .38 caliber revolver with which he shot his wife.Mrs. Derber, the former Judith Felker. was shot about 12:30 Thursday morning in a drivewayon Ceape Avenue when she got out of the car of a girl friend after Derber had followed them|s from a beer bar.,m .
