FRANK McCARTY SERIOUSLY INJURED AT WACOTFrank McCarty, sou of Dr. .?. F.McCarty of this place was struckon the head hv a fellow workmanin an oil mill at Waco and seriouslv injured Monday afternoon. Tin\\I 'incident occurred at the BrazosisValiev Oil Mill in Waco. wher«Mr. McCarty had been employedtfor some time, at about 1 :30 o’-tclock Mondav afternoon.It seems that there had been arquarrel between the two and whiletMcCartv was seated at a desk dur-Iitig the noon hour the other work*tman came up behind him and struck him over the left car with atheavy machine hammer. McCartytwas immediately taken in the police patrol to a local sanitariumIand examinations made. It wasthought at first that he would notrecover, but later advices say thatalthough not entirely out of danger the probability is that he willget well.IW. E. Spencer was immediatelyarrested and taken in charge byofficers.Doth were young men. Spencer was unmarried and McCarty hasbeen married onlv a short time.lie was married to Miss Mary‘'Price of this place last spring.
