MORE MOISEYWASHINGTON (AP) — The c Justice Department asked Con-j gross Monday for more money to expand its strike forces to combat organized crime in New fIts spokesmen presented to a, g Senate appropriations subcommittee a request for $112,000 to open 18 new jobs, 12 of them for lawyers.In the strike force operation, investigators from different government agencies work together as a team.lt;IHenry Peterson, head of the t department’s organized crimesection, said the funds would he used to put two additional strike forces to work. One, in Boston, would be responsible for the j* New England area. The other^ would be based in Now York. I “If we don’t get money, we'llU have to backtrack,” Peterson1 said.
