CONGEP r AND WORK—Above is an architect's concept of what the new Franklin County jail will look like when complete, providing the present jail facility is razed. The view is looking southeast from Third. Die jail, which will house both sheriff and police offices, is due to be completed in October. The building is being constructed between the courthouse and the present jail buildings. No provision has been made to clear the present facility upon completion of the new jail, a county commissioner said Wednesday. Workmen are shown at left and are a couple of weeks behind their work schedule on the building. Building Systems Inc., Topeka, has the contract to build the :i2-prisoncr facility. Wilbur F. Kruse, Wichita, is the architect, and was in Ottawa Wednesday meeting with the commissioners and contractor.ii
