Gully Cowsert Is Captain Of Company Of Texas RangersAs a special recognition of his i service as a special Hanger during the past year, Gully Cowsert has been made captain of a company of Hangers and is stationed at Alice, Texas. iDuring the past year, he has been ! instrumental in breaking up several cattle rustling rings and has helped solve several gruesome murders. A Mexican shearing captain was: brutally murdered in Kerrville sev-1 eral weeks ago. Through the efforts of Gully Cowsert and other officers several Mexicans and one negro were arrested and placed in the Kerr County jail. The men all made written statements, which j with other evidence in the possession of the officers, it is believed will be sufficient to convict the men.
