Axgney Asks to br Released os Bail.—In the Criminal Court, Judge Montgomery, to-day, the j case of J icob 1*. Angney, convicted of an assault ! and battery with lnient to kill J. H. Wllmott and assault and batieryon T. R. Turnbull, In June, was heard on motion of defendant to be admitted to ball pending thlt;* hearing in the Court in uen»*ral Term of the mo: Ion for a new trial. Messrs. C. M. Smith and F. Beall appeared for the defendant and instrlet Attorney Worthington for the Government. Judge Montgomery decided to take bail, and said he would ilx the amount after 1 o’clock.
