JUNE 13, 1938.Man Robbing Fan’8 Pocket Seized at ParkAfter watching Washington lose yesterday’s ball game to Detroit, Joseph A. Buckner, 410 Massachusetts avenue N.W., narrowly averted more sadness when he caught a colored man trying to rob his pocket as he left the ball park.Mr. Buckner grabbed the man and called police. The man Is being held for investigation at the second precinct.Henry Oauch, 2110 Ninth street N.W„ was less lucky. On emerging from Griffith Stadium Jie discovered his pocket had been picked of ISO.Not far from the ball park, Oscar Carrico, night manager of a gas station in the 000 block of Florida avenue N.W., was held up and robbed of $75 by two colored men last night. After taking his money, they forced him into the washroom, he told police, and locked the door. He made his escape by forcing the lock.
