A Roswell man charged with the rape of a 15-year-old girl has been bound over to District Court after a preliminary hearing before Magistrate Baudelio “Bobby”Ramirez.Edward Webb, 36, of 2101 N. Main St., was arrested Dec. 24 on a charge of criminal sexual penetration, a second-degree felony punishable by 10 to 50 years in prison.The girl was taken to a North Main Street motel, raped and then returned to her grandmother, testimony at the preliminary hearing Friday revealed.Judge Ramirez set bond on Webb at $30,000.A date for trial has not been set.
