Nickname links body to John Gacy caseWill County Coroner Robert Tezak reported today that a nickname has linked the death of James Mazzara, 20, Elmwood Park, with John Wayne Gacy.\ Mazzara’s body was found in the Des Plaines River Dec. 28 about one-half mile west of Interstate 55.Tezak said Gacy told Cook County authorities he hadTruckeron U.S. 51A semi-truck driver was killed early today on U. S. 51 north of Mendota when the vehicle he was driving crossed the center line, sideswiped acar. went into the ditch and hit a tree.LaSalle Countv Coronerthrown a man known as Mojo into the Des Plaines River.An investigation, Tezak said, revealed Mazzara had been known as Mojo in the past.Of the 32 people Gacy is suspected of killing six have been positively identified The body of a seventh victim, Robert Piest, 15, Des Plaines, has not been found.Gacy told Cook County authorities he could not identify the other victims because they were just “pickups” and he never learned their names.So far 29 bodies connected with Gacy have been found, 27 at his residence and two in the Des Plaines River.In addition to Mazzara, the body of Frank Landingin, 19, Chicago, was found floating in the river near Channahon on Nov. 12.Tezak said there have been patrols along the river in the area where the bodies were found.
