Swinney, a native of le Ditto, Texas, aged 32 years, and whose home was in Del Rio, where he formerly followed the vocation of a painter up to the time of his volunteering for service with the Del Rio company overseas, and was later discharged and engaged in the trap-ir|ping business, died at Mercy Hospital you ig in this city this morning at 4 o’cock r- as the'result of gunshot wounds re-t- ceived while in a skiff on the Amer-!f. lean banks of the Rio Grande on the Farias farm five miles up-river from Lamdo, Swinney, it is alleged meeting his death at the hands of io men on the Mexican side of the Rio 5r 'Grande.According to the statement made this morning by P. M.
