STORE ROBBED AT SOMER-_VILLE* ' --i . ♦A man doesn't have to go away from home to get robbed. When Clark Whitman woke up last Friday morning he received news that he had been robbed. The robbery was not committed in Petersburg, but parties wanting a little Christmas money, and realizing that Mr. Whitman had it pried into his store at Somerville, a coal mining town on the big Four railroad south of this city, and blew the safe open and relieved Mr Whitman of $05.00 in cash. Nothing else in the safe was molested, nor was anything taken from the store. The robber only wanted cash, but in getting it, they ruined a first-class safe, which Mr. Whitman regrets, as the damage to the safe amounted to more than the robbers got.
