Revere Man Critically Wounded During BrawlAs the result of a shooting: affair at School street and Eastern avenue, Revere, last evening, Patrick Dowd, aged 26 years, of 40 Eastern avenue, Revere, lies at the Massachusetts General Hospital in a critical condition from a bullet wound %n his abdomen.Dowd, accompanied by Joseph Flood of 139 Florence street, Everett, and Eber Bath of 6 Sprague street, was walking along School street, Revere, and met Palomia Caponi of 54 True street. It is claimed Caponi stopped the trio and attempted to start a brawl. Talking and gesticulating, he drew revolver and fired two shots into the air. Dowd thereupon immediately started after Caponi, who ran down the street. As Dowd was gaining upon him, Caponi, it is alleged, turned about and fired a third shot, which lodged in Dowd’s abdomen.Caponi kept on in his flight disappearing in the marshes. Flood and Bath notified the Revere police. An ambulance was hurried to the scene, and I the wounded man wag rushed to the hospital.
