Harry E. Olson, 48, 2109 11th Ave., appeared in County Court today before Judge Franz W. Brand and was formally arraigned on a charge of homicide by anintoxicated user of a vehicle.The charge came in connection with thecollision deaths June 16 at the intersectionof Haddinger Road and Richland Road inClarno Township in which two Monroe teenage girls, Cheryl A. Dalen and DebraK. Golackson, died. Two others, Kenneth J. Rufener and Dennis L. Timm, wereinjured.Timm was driving one vehicle, with the others as passengers, and Olson was driving the other vehicle, alone.John Lewis, Green Co. special investigator, in the complaint, said that theTimm vehicle was heading northerly on Haddinger Road and that Olson’s vehicle was westbound on Richland Road and failed to stop for a stop sign, colliding withthe Timm auto.The complaint states that a blood test was given Olson, and the Wis. Crime Laboratory findings showed the blood alcohol content to be .136 percent.Judge Brand scheduled a preliminary hearing on the charge for Sept. 23 at 1:30pm. and Olson was released on a signature bond of $2,500.*Penalty for violation of the statute under which Olson is charged could be a fine ofup to $2,500 and imprisonment for not more than 5 years or both.
